Clinic Services

South Baylo University acupuncture clinics have provided Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) and integrative healthcare in the Orange County and Los Angeles community since 1977.

Acupuncture and Oriental medicine is a comprehensive natural healthcare system that has successfully treated patients in Asia for centuries. AOM practitioners use acupuncture, herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, cupping, moxibustion, medical qigong, and nutrition to treat the root cause of symptoms, prevent illness, and preserve health.

AOM practitioners use a sophisticated and complex system of diagnostic methods to discern patterns of imbalance and treat the underlying cause of your illness. Our objective is beyond alleviating your symptoms. Our goal is to improve and extend your quality of life.

Our services include a clear diagnosis and treatment plan; acupoints and herbs selected according to the affected meridians and organs as well as specific etiology and pathology.

The SBU acupuncture clinics in Anaheim and Los Angeles, California offer the following services:

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a natural medical protocol that stimulates the body’s amazing healing processes and supports mental, physical, and emotional balance. It is a complete solution, which is why it can heal so many different injuries, illnesses, and conditions. Acupuncture has been scientifically proven to help relieve many types of pain

Tuina Massage

Based on the same principles as acupuncture, Tuina massage provides the benefits of AOM to patients without the use of needles.

Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular acupuncture is a technique that involves the insertion of various types of needles into predetermined points and points with altered bioelectrical conductance on the external ear.

Herbal Medicine

Our herbal dispensary contains over 500 high-quality medicinal herbs. Herbal specialists provide personalized herbal prescriptions for your specific health condition.

Dietary Consultation

Our practitioners understand the vital connection between food and health. Nutritionally balanced diets are prescribed to facilitate weight loss and detoxification, and to improve your overall health and well-being.

Body Composition Analysis

Body composition analysis is essential to completely understand health and weight as traditional methods of assessing health. Body composition analysis breaks down your body into four components: fat, lean body mass, minerals, and body water.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is another form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This therapy helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being.

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a noninvasive treatment used by acupuncture needles. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process uniquely designed to promote the individual’s physical beauty while simultaneously promoting emotional health and well being by fostering relaxation and insight. It balances the body, mind and spirit at the same time as for our skin.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a method of heating specific acupuncture points on the body by burning dried mugwort close to the skin. This helps the body enhance the movement of qi and blood.

ELECTROACUPUNCTURE

Electroacupuncture is the application of a pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles as a means of stimulating the acupoints.

The needles are attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses using small clips. These devices are used to adjust the frequency and intensity of the impulse being delivered, depending on the condition being treated.

Electroacupuncture is considered to be especially useful for conditions in which there is an accumulation of chi, such as in chronic pain syndromes, or in cases where the chi is difficult to stimulate
