South Baylo University (SBU) acknowledges it signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement on May 14, 2020, and gives the assurance that SBU will use at least 50% of the funds that we received under section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to eligible students. These grants are available for specific financial expenses resulting from campus disruption associated with COVID-19 and do not need to be repaid.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students enrolled at least half-time for spring quarter 2021 and\/or for summer quarter 2021 classes at South Baylo University who have experienced unexpected expenses due to disruption of campus operations from COVID-19 are eligible to apply for the emergency funding. To receive the funds, students are required to be eligible to receive federal financial aid funds (Pell Grant and\/or student loans).<\/p>\n

Students do not need to be financial aid recipients but are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and send the FAFSA information to SBU. If you have not completed the FAFSA you can do so at\u00a0<\/span>studentaid.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The following students are not eligible for the CARES Act emergency grant funding:<\/strong><\/p>\n
