Students may apply for scholarship awards through the Academic Office or Office of Student Services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Scholarships are awarded based on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed at least two (2) quarters of full-time study at SBU<\/li>\n<li>Earned a Cumulative Quarter Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.75 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Involved in activities or services at the university and in the AOM profession<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Scholarship Award Committee reviews and evaluates the applications. Notices of available scholarships and deadlines shall be posted on campus. use_border_color=&#8221;on&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#f7f7f7&#8243; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SBU awards this scholarship to the student who demonstrates excellence in student services and activities each quarter.<\/li>\n<li>Prospective recipients must meet the following criteria:<\/li>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Completed at least two (2) quarters of full-time study at the University.<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled in 12 or more units for the quarter in which this scholarship is awarded.<\/li>\n<li>Earned a Cumulative Quarter Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 or higher.<\/li>\n<li>Involved in activities and\/or services to fellow students, the University, and the AOM profession.<\/li>\n<li>Recommended by the student councils and the student services advisor<\/li>\n<li>Engaged in student council activities and programs.<\/li>\n<li>Abided by the code of conduct stated in this catalog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prospective recipients are encouraged to submit a scholarship application to the Student Services office during the last week of the academic quarter.<\/li>\n<li>The Scholarship Award Committee reviews and evaluates an application and supporting documents of each prospective recipient.<\/li>\n<li>The Student Services Coordinator will notify the student of the award by the first week of the following academic quarter.<\/li>\n<li>The Student Services Coordinator presents the scholarships to students during the quarterly Student Council Orientation for new students.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified students may not receive more than two (2) scholarships during his\/her tenure at the University.<\/li>\n<li>The amount of this scholarship per student per quarter can be up to $300.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][\/et_pb_column_inner][\/et_pb_row_inner][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_4&#8243;
