In accordance with the Higher Education Act of 1965 as amended by Public Laws 101-542, 102-26, 102-325 and 103-208, all related to the Student Right-To-Know and Campus Security Act, the University makes available to current students, prospective students, employees, and prospective employees, information about campus safety policies and procedures and statistics concerning whether certain crimes took place on campus. The latest report will be posted on the campus bulletin board and is available upon request by contacting the Student Services and Alumni Coordinator<\/a> or by writing to the Administrative Office. Any incidence is a cause of concern to the University. Therefore, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to report any crimes or suspected crimes to the Director of Operations who will immediately notify appropriate local law enforcement agencies. In the absence of the Director of Operations or other officials, the individual should directly notify the local law enforcement agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

By October 1st of each calendar year, South Baylo University (SBU) publishes its Annual Campus Security Report, including important information about safety and security policies implemented to protect the welfare of our campus community, as well as crime statistics for the campus.<\/p>\n

This report is being issued in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 (“Clery Act”), Section 485 of the Higher\u00a0 Education Act (HEA), and the California Education Code, Sections 67380-67385.<\/p>\n

SBU is committed to protecting the safety and security of all students, staff, faculty, and visitors to our campus, and to providing accurate and complete information regarding crimes committed within the campus community. We believe that our policies and programs for preventing and reducing crime, as well as our emergency notices, timely warnings, and disclosure of reported crimes, promote a safer and more informed community.<\/p>\n

The publication of this Annual Security Report (ASR) is intended for the information of all currently enrolled and prospective students and employees of SBU.<\/p>\n
