Dear South Baylo University Community,

It is an honor and privilege to serve as your new President. I am excited and proud to lead South Baylo University into a new era and build on the incredible foundation already in place. I have been entrusted by the Board of Trustees to continue the academic excellence of this University, enrich the quality of student and faculty life and to address some challenges facing the University.  As I begin my role as President, I would like to take a moment to share with you some positive developments that have already occurred and my objectives of investing in student success, elevating the University’s academic reputation and growing the University’s development enterprise.

As an initial matter, I know many of you have expressed concerns regarding the University’s prior plans to sell our Anaheim Campus. This is to officially inform you that the University will not be selling its Anaheim Campus.

Secondly, I want to express my deepest appreciation to Board Trustee and Chair Dr. Jennifer Park for her $1,000,000 donation to the University. Dr. Park is a shining example of servant leadership and has by her actions made a most emphatic statement of confidence in and support for the University.

Third, the Board of Trustees has asked me to accomplish several important and targeted objectives over the next twelve months, including but not limited to increasing the University’s student enrollment, enhancing the University’s marketing, and outreach efforts to new and diverse communities surrounding the Anaheim and LA campuses and improving student learning and institutional development. I will work tirelessly with my leadership team to achieve these objectives.

South Baylo University has a remarkable story to tell, and I am eager to share it far and wide.  I invite you to also share this story with anyone who has an interest in this extraordinary institution and encourage them explore all the programs we have to offer.

I look forward to the great things that we will do together.  I would like to meet all of you and answer any questions you may have.  I will be holding a combined live and virtual “Meet and Greet” on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at Anaheim Campus.  A virtual link will be sent out shortly.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Bonifacio Bonny Garcia

President
